Module 1 - A Historical Perspective on Colour Therapy.
On successful completion of this module the candidate will be able to:

Introduce colour and explain how it affects our lives and environment

LO2   List the 8 principle colours
LO3   Describe what ‘amplitude’ means
LO4   Explain what occurs when complimentary colours are mixed together
 

Module 2 - The Subtle Body.
On successful completion of this module the candidate will be able to:

Discuss physical, biological and chemical systems of the anatomy and the physiological functioning of the human body

LO2   Analyse the 7 layers of the auric body system
LO3   Examine how the Celestial Body functions
LO4   Identify the organ with which the sacral chakra corresponds to
 

Module 3 - The Structure of the Chakra System.
On successful completion of this module the candidate will be able to:

Evaluate the Chakra and Meridian Systems

LO2   Describe the purpose of the Chakra System
LO3   Examine which meridian partners the Lung meridian
LO4   Summarise how many minor chakras are to be found in the body
 

Module 4 - The Meridian System.
On successful completion of this module the candidate will be able to:

Examine the Meridian systems showing how they influence the functioning of the body

LO2   Describe the 2 midline meridians and discuss pathways
LO3   List 4 disorders that are noticeable along the heart meridian
LO4   Examine 4 disorders related to an imbalance of the bladder meridian
 

Module 5 - The Importance of Colour.
On successful completion of this module the candidate will be able to:

LO1 Discuss how colour plays an important role in relation to the Chakras
LO2   Analyse the first step in a colour treatment and describe how you would implement it
LO3   Evaluate how negative thoughts impact on our health
LO4   Identify how colour and the light sensitive centres of the brain are connected
 

Module 6 - Basic Principles of Colour Therapy.
On successful completion of this module the candidate will be able to:

LO1 Analyse the principles of colour therapy, what governs our response to colour and summarise attributes of the eight colours of the spectrum
LO2   Discuss the meaning of ‘inflow of energy’
LO3   Examine the colour related to royalty and explain the reasoning behind it
 
Module 7 - The Therapeutic Use of Colour.
On successful completion of this module the candidate will be able to:

LO1 Examine the procedure for receiving a client, working with a Spine Chart and colour breathing
LO2   Describe ways in which you would work with a Spine chart
LO3   Identify the advantages of colour breathing
 
Module 8 - The Use of Colour in Diet, Stress and Home Interiors.
On successful completion of this module the candidate will be able to:

LO1 Evaluate how colour is intimately tied into all aspects of our lives
LO2   Summarise which colour scheme would be preferable for a bedroom
LO3   Discuss what techniques can be used to create various tints and shades
 
Module 9 - Zones of the Body.
On successful completion of this module the candidate will be able to:

LO1 Discuss the different zones of the body and evaluate how specific systems relate to the location of reflexes
LO2   Identify the 10 energy zones
LO3   Describe the transverse zones of the body
LO4   Analyse the situation, corresponding reflexes, illnesses and imbalances of the:
  • Respiratory system
  • Skeletal system
  • Endocrine system
  • Lymphatic system
  • Reproductive system
 
Module 10 - Relaxation Techniques.
On successful completion of this module the candidate will be able to:

LO1 Describe how to prepare a client for treatment and the various relaxation techniques available
LO2   Define the ideal position of a client prior to treatment
LO3   Describe the 4 principle working techniques
LO4   Summarise the following procedures:
  • Toe Rotation
  • Wringing the foot
  • Ankle Rotation
 
Module 11 - Colours in Reflexology Treatment.
On successful completion of this module the candidate will be able to:

LO1 Identify the general attributes of each colour used in therapy
LO2   Describe therapeutic benefits and complimentary colours of:
  • Red
  • Orange
  • Green
  • Turquoise
  • Violet
  • Magenta

Module 12 - Teaching Your Body to Become a Channel for Healing.
On successful completion of this module the candidate will be able to:

LO1 Summarise how colour can be used as a means of healing and the role meditation plays
LO2   Introduce your own personal meditation sequence giving the induction and conclusion procedures
LO3   Evaluate the advantages of meditation
 
Module 13 - Use of the Reflexology Crystal Torch.
On successful completion of this module the candidate will be able to:

LO1 Evaluate methods of administrating colour to the reflex zones
LO2   Identify 2 methods of applying colour to reflex areas
 
Module 14 - Setting up a Colour Therapy Practice.
On successful completion of this module the candidate will be able to:

LO1 Examine the setting up of your colour therapy practice as a business opportunity
LO2   Discuss how you would assess a business opportunity
LO3   Analyse the importance of the therapy room
