Module 1 – The Background to Interior Design.
On successful completion of this module the candidate will be able to:

LO1 Explore the historical perspective of interiors and present a summary of the influence of a series of major design styles and influences.
 
Module 2 – Design Elements.
On successful completion of this module the candidate will be able to:

LO1 Investigate the seven design elements which influence a finished interior and the inter-relationship between each.
 
Module 3 – Room Elements.
On successful completion of this module the candidate will be able to:

LO1 Investigate a series of room elements which influence a finished interior and the inter-relationship between each.
 
Module 4 – The Project.
On successful completion of this module the candidate will be able to:

LO1 Develop an integrated and structured approach to design by undertaking and presenting a design project.
 
Module 5 – Making a living from Interior design.
On successful completion of this module the candidate will be able to:

LO1 Demonstrate the key principles of establishing and running a small business offering interior design services.
 
Module 6 – Tools of the Trade.
