On successful completion of this module the candidate will be able to:

Module 2 - The Stress Response.
On successful completion of this module the candidate will be able to:

Discuss a typical approach to stress and introduce various bodily reactions

LO2   Introduce your understanding of the ‘fight or flight’ reaction
LO3   Identify three physical forms of stress
LO4   Examine the functions of the Hypothalamus
 

Module 3 - Assessing Stress Levels.
On successful completion of this module the candidate will be able to:

Examine the symptoms of stress

LO2   Introduce physical response to stress and show the symptoms that occur
LO3   Discuss behavioural signs of stress and include examples
 

Module 4 - Understanding the Coping process.
On successful completion of this module the candidate will be able to:

LO2   Describe the method you would use to do an assessment of a coping response
LO3   List five maladaptive reactions to stress and show why these reactions are likely to fail
 

Module 5 - Managing Stress – Skills and Techniques.

LO3   Discuss five effective techniques that can be used in an individual’s stress management plan
